TROUBLED soccer legend Paul Gascoigne plans to turn his life round with the villa.
It’s NOT the Premier side in the Midlands but a premier property in the Mediterranean.
Gazza, 41,who plans to set up home on Portugal’s Algarve with his new girlfriend, is considering buying the pounds 600,000 sun-drenched spread.
He has already contacted estate agents about the stunning poolside villa.
The former England and Newcastle midfielder plans to join sweetheart Sally Mulholland, 44, next weekend for a final viewing of the property which is a few minutes from a beach and golf course in Albufeira.
Gazza, who has been plagued by booze and depression and was briefly locked up in a psychiatric unit under the Mental Health Act eight months ago, only began dating mum-of-three Sally a month ago. But he is suddenly looking happier than he has done for years.
Sally, a wedding and portrait photographer on the Algarve, met Gazza last month when he holidayed there following a pounds 100,000 rehab spell in The Priory.
A friend told The People: “Gazza has told Sally he is determined to turn his life around.
“By moving out to the Algarve he hopes he can put his demons behind him.
“No one knows if Gazza is planning to buy the house himself, or if he’s being helped financially.
“But he’s due back for a viewing of the property again this week.”
The plans are news to Gazza’s ex-wife Sheryl, 42, who was reported to be trying to form a “relatively stable”life with him in Britain in an attempt to sort him out.peoplenews@mgn.co.uk
